Govt should complete its tenure: Ch Shujat

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Ch Shujat Hussain has said that the government should complete its tenure and if an attempt is made to change the government through any conspiracy, then it will be fully resisted.

He said this while addressing a big gathering of people on Monday who had come to congratulate Shujaat for victory in Sunday’s by-polls.

MNA-elect Ch Salik Hussain said that on his great victory, he was thankful to Sardar Ghulam Abbas, Sardar Mumtaz Tamman, Hafiz Ammar Yasir, other leaders and people of Talagang. He said that he will do all in his power to solve the problems of the area beside talking to the government whenever that would be required.

On the occasion, Ch Shafay Hussain, Sarosh Tahir, Malik Mansab, Malik Safdar, Haji Abdul Qayyum, Haji Omar Habib, Haji Shadi Khan and other leaders were also present.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that Imran Khan had given a 100-day plan. “In 100 days, 5 million houses cannot be constructed,” he said, adding that PM Khan should give a plan for four and a half years instead of 100 days.

The PML president said that the intention of Imran Khan was good and clear and if conspiring elements did not create any obstruction, then he will certainly do something for the country.

Shujaat said the people had given a full mandate to Imran Khan after 22 years.

He said that throughout Pakistan, Ch Salik Hussain had gotten the maximum lead of 69,000 votes while second highest lead of 50,000 had been secured by Moonis Elahi from Gujrat.

He said that he was grateful to the people for continuously reposing confidence in them. “Chakwal is our second home after Gujrat, we will pay special attention to development works in the area particularly electricity, gas and health sectors,” he added.
