ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that as many as six million people will get numerous job opportunities through the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s initiative of ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Programme’.

Talking to a private news channel, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to help the poor people through different development programmes like the housing project for the low-income people.

He said that through the housing scheme, apartments would be constructed in all ‘Kachi Abadies’ and ownership of these apartments would be given to the people on installments.

The minister said that the PTI government is focusing to attract foreign investment in the country to boost the national economy. “We are inviting Chinese companies and overseas Pakistanis to invest in the country,” he said.

He said China and Saudi Arabia are the investment partners of Pakistan and hoped that both the countries besides overseas Pakistanis would invest in the country.

Replying to a question, Fawad said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an economic project, but the western media had adopted a hostile attitude about it.
