LAHORE: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) BA Nasir and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Shehzad Akbar on Sunday reviewed various police stations to review security arrangements.
The CCPO visited polling stations at Walton Road, Qurban Degree College, Lalak Jan Shaheed Chowk, Central School for Girls Defence, whereas the DIG Operations visited Govt Fatima Jinnah College, Misri Shah, Shadman, Sheranwala Gate, Shadbagh, Queen Mary College, UET, Qila Gujjar Singh and other polling stations.
The CCPO and DIG Operations directed the policemen to perform their duties with responsibility and appreciated them for showing outstanding performance.
As many as 12,000 policemen under the supervision of 12 Superintendents of Police (SPs) were deployed on security duty for by-polls in four constituencies of the provincial capital.
