LAHORE: A petition was submitted in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday challenging the arrest and the subsequent physical remand of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif.
In order to determine if the petition could be pursued, the petitioner was directed by the court to present relevant argument over the matter.
Hearing on the petition was presided over by Justice Ali Baqir. According to the court, a complete judgement over the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordnance had already been passed and decision over the matter will be passed in reference to earlier judgement.
The hearing was then adjourned till October 31.
The former provincial chief minister was arrested last week in connection with the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme scandal. He was handed over to the anti-graft body for a 10-day physical remand.
