NAB orders Salman Shehbaz to submit financial details

LAHORE:  The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday ordered Salman Shehbaz, son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif, to submit details pertaining to his income and expenditures in connection with an illegal assets probe.

According to reports, the anti-graft watchdog had noticed irregularities in the bank accounts of Salman Shehbaz and asked him to appear over the matter.

In a questionnaire issued to Salman, he has been asked to provide details pertaining to his membership of different clubs.

NAB also asked Salman to submit details of assets he holds including companies, agricultural land, bank accounts, and foreign properties.

He is required to submit information about all foreign tours as well as loans taken out by him and his family members.

Further, details regarding Salman’s domestic staff have also been summoned.

It is reported that NAB will audit and investigate all expenses listed by Salman, as well as his medical expenditure.

NAB has already arrested Salman’s father Shehbaz Sharif—who had ruled Punjab for over 10 years—in the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Society Scam case. The former chief minister was charged with awarding illegal contracts to his favourite firm.

Shehbaz was apprehended during his appearance before NAB in the Saaf Pani Company scam.
