Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) President Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal had said that it will stop supporting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government if they continue to ignore the party while making decisions about Balochistan, including matters related to Gwadar and Reko Diq.

According to a local media report, Mengal said that the party members voted for PTI candidates in the elections after signing a six-point accord with it, adding that BNP-M would not betray the people of the province as they put their trust in PTI during the elections on the promise that the province’s natural resources and its coast would be protected.

As quoted in the report, Mengal said that his party would not compromise on Balochistan’s shares in development projects including those under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Moreover, the BNP-M and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) have boosted the campaign for their joint candidate in the by-election on provincial assembly seat PB-40 (Khuzdar).

The two parties will work together and protect the rights of Balochistan and that no one could force them to withdraw from their struggle for the rights of the province’s deprived people.
