Afridi says no soft corner for land grabbers

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Interior Affairs Shehryar Khan Afridi has said that the national security is one of the top priority of the incumbent government and there is no compromise in this regard.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said that Pakistan had rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war against terrorism and thousands of the civil and law enforcement agencies personnel had sacrificed their lives in this war.

He said that the government had taken very effective measures regarding national security and a line had drawn that no compromise would be made on it. He said that Pakistan was a responsible country and fully aware about its responsibilities.

He said Pakistan had made lot of sacrifices and the government would make the country it as impregnable, adding that coming generations would feel pride on it. To a question, he said the drive against encroachments would continue all over the country and no one was above the law.

He maintained that there would be no soft corner for the land grabbers. The credit goes to Prime Minister Imran Khan for launching operation against encroachments throughout the country, he said. Shehryar Afridi said that the accountability would be held across the board.
