SADIQABAD: A traffic police assistant sub-inspector on Monday slapped a fine on his son for failing to wear a helmet while riding his motorbike in Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan.
The officer, named Imtiaz Abbas, slapped a Rs200 fine against his son.
The government in Punjab has warned motorbike riders to wear helmets if they wish to avoid newly introduced fines.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) last week directed authorities to initiate a crack down against those motorbike riders found to be violating traffic laws, including failing to wear helmets.
