Info minister appreciates DGPR’s performance

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Monday appreciated the performance of officers of the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) and said they could further enhance their operations graph by utilising modern communication techniques.

Presiding over a meeting to review the performance of DGPR officers, the minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government believed in supremacy of law and merit and DGPR should play its comprehensive role to communicate PTI government’s vision in an effective manner as well as in helping the people to get rid of corrupt environment and wrong policies of previous governments.

“Print, electronic and social media will be set on modern lines and all-out resources will be utilised for the required human resource and machinery for this purpose.”

The info minister said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzsdar, the police, administration and bureaucracy would be made apolitical on the pattern of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and problems of the people would be resolved at their doorsteps.

DGPR Amjad Hussain, on the occasion, briefed the minister and said all officers were performing their duties in the best professional manner and despite their limited resources were providing commendable results.
