–Shahbaz Gul only notified as CM’s personal spokesperson
LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Punjab has appointed Shahbaz Gul as the spokesperson for Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar while incumbent Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan will continue as the representative of the provincial government.
According to a notification issued by the government, Gul will serve as the CM’s spokesperson.
The info minister, on the other hand, will continue to represent the provincial government, it has emerged, contrary to the earlier reports that claimed he will no longer hold the office.
Chohan stated that he will serve as the spokesperson for the government which is a part of his portfolio as the info minister.
It is pertinent to mention that Gul will only convey the stance of CM Buzdar while serving in the special portfolio.
During his Lahore visit, PM Imran Khan put an end to the rumours that he was dissatisfied with Chohan’s performance. The premier, while speaking at a press conference on Sunday, embraced Chohan, among other Punjab government officials, for his active role in resolving the province-wide issues.
