LONDON: Former England captain Andrew Strauss has announced his resignation as England’s Director of Cricket after three and a half years in the role.

Strauss stepped back from carrying out the role full-time time earlier in the summer to spend more time with his family. Andy Flower, who has filled in for Strauss for the last four months, is to continue as the interim Director of Cricket until December when a successor is hoped to have been found.
