RAWALPINDI: Seven terrorists were killed after Pakistani forces retaliated against an attack on a Pakistani check-post in North Waziristan from across the border, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
The attack occurred when terrorists opened fire at the Pakistani check-post. In retaliatory fire, Pakistani troops killed seven terrorists and injured another three.
Last month, seven troops, including an army officer, embraced martyrdom and nine terrorists were killed in a clash during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan.
“In an intense exchange of fire, seven Pakistan army soldiers, namely Captain Junaid, Havildar Amir, Havildar Atif, Havildar Nasir, Havildar Abdul Razzaq, Sepoy Sammi and Sepoy Anwar embraced martyrdom,” the ISPR said at the time, adding that nine terrorists were killed and their bodies were held.
