Pakistan’s former captain, all-rounder and hard-hitter batsman Shahid Afridi made his One Day International (ODI) debut on October 2, 1996.

He shot to fame after hitting the fastest century on 37 balls against Sri Lanka.

Remembering the debut of one of most famous all-rounder of ODI and T20I, International Cricket Council (ICC) tweeted: “ in 1996, made his ODI debut for Pakistan! He was just 16 years, 215 days old – the third youngest man ever to represent Pakistan in ODIs. Where does he rank among their greatest players in the format?”
