ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday served notices to the respondents in an appeal filed by Axact Company CEO Shoaib Sheikh against the trial court’s decision dated July 5, 2018 in the fake degree case.
Justice Athar Minallah of the IHC resumed hearing over the appeal of Shoaib Sheikh challenging his sentence by the lower court in Axact Company case.
The petitioner’s counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi appeared before the court and argued that the investigation officer in the case had invited the public as witness against his client but not one came against his client.
He argued that the trial court’s decision against Shoaib Sheikh was against the law and prayed the court to set aside the same.
After hearing the arguments, the court served notices to FIA and adjourned hearing till October 8.
