Bilawal says, ‘Government members still levelling allegations like opposition’
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday accused the federal government of not paying heed to the Opposition’s concerns in Parliament, and reacting in a “childish” manner.
Speaking to press in the National Assembly (NA) lounge, Bilawal said: “The government is responding to the opposition’s concerns on the finance bill in a childish manner.”
“If the government does not address our reservations, then how will we support it?” he asked.
Criticizing the ruling government, he added: “Members of the government are levelling allegations as if they are still in the opposition.”
Answering a question pertaining to accountability court’s decision to seize or auction Ishaq Dar’s assets, Bilawal replied: “I have not yet read the judgment.”
‘OPPOSITION WILL NEVER FORGET DEFEAT’:
Addressing the NA session, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said: “After five years we will defeat the opposition in such a way that they will never be able to forget.”
“The nation brought us [Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)] to the top and left them [opposition] at the bottom,” he added.
Khattak also informed the assembly of PTI’s reforms in education, health sectors during its tenure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
