LAHORE: Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz on Sunday said that bogus mandate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will soon be buried, adding that the ruling party “robbed the mandate of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).”

The PML-N lawmaker inaugurated his party’s election office at Lahore’s NA-124 constituency where he addressed the workers. Hamza predicted that the PTI government will not have a bright future”.

Mocking the premier, he said that he is going to make a movie on Prime Minister Imran Khan titled U-Turn Khan.

“I will invest in a film named U-Turn Khan,” he said.

On the increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, the PML-N leader said Atal Bihari Vajpayee had himself flown to Pakistan during the government of Nawaz Sharif. “Indian media is insulting us while our government is auctioning buffaloes,” he said.

Hamza recalled that when India carried out five nuclear bomb test explosions, PML-N supremo responded with Pakistan’s six test explosions.

The PML-N lawmaker claimed that Nawaz will return to power and help construct Bhasha Dam. “He survived Musharraf’s strict accountability and succeeded. This time too, after over a hundred hearings, judges had to write that no corruption could be proven on Nawaz and his daughter,” he told the gathering.

Moreover, former prime minister Shahid Khan Abbasi claimed that PML-N founder Nawaz Sharif rules in his people’s hearts. “Nawaz will be the next prime minister of Pakistan,” he added.

Criticising the government, he said that gas load-shedding and power outages are taking place in the country once again. “This rented government will not work,” he said.
