LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz on Thursday said that his party would soon be serving the masses again and the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was just an “interval”.
Addressing PML-N workers after inaugurating a party office in the NA-124 constituency of the provincial capital ahead of by-polls, Hamza said the people of the constituency had proved that PML-N and Nawaz Sharif had a very special place in their hearts.
“The welcome that I have received upon my arrival compels me to congratulate [PML-N candidate for NA-124 by-poll] Shahid Khaqan Abbasi over his win in advance. Lahore is the fort of PML-N and people will prove this by putting stamp on tiger on October 14.”
Training guns at the PTI-led government, the leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly said that his government built the motorway, setup power plants and initiated the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor but never sought donations from the masses.
“The people do not want such dramas! They want relief like the PML-N government provided them with. Imran Khan will keep on seeking donations while Nawaz Sharif would change the destiny of the country,” he said.
