Two soldiers martyred, one wounded in Kalat IBO


QUETTA: Two Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred and two wounded during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) against a terrorist group in Mangochar area of Kalat late on Wednesday night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The two martyred soldiers have been identified as Sepoys Muhammad Waris Shahban and Mir Alam. The former hailed from Jhang and has left behind a widow and two sons. Alam who belonged to Gilgit-Baltistan’s Ghizer area has left behind a widow and one son.

Four terrorists, killed during the raid, who were said to be planning major terrorist activities in Balochistan.

The army recovered two suicide jackets, explosives, as well as arms and ammunition from the terrorists’ hideout.

The funeral prayer of martyrs was offered in Quetta Cantt. After the funeral prayer, the remains of the martyrs were dispatched to their ancestral towns for burial with full military honours.
