LAHORE: Punjab Government’s Services and General Administration Department has issued a notification ordering authorities to verify orders by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar as people have been using “fake calls and orders” under the chief minister’s name without approval.

It has been reported that people are using the CM’s name to get favours and/or tasks done at different government offices, hospitals and other places by impersonating CM Buzdar.

“The name of Punjab CM is reportedly being misused in different cities of Punjab by fake telephone calls,” the notification said.

Above is an example of the misuse of CM Buzdar’s authority by impersonators.

The concerned authorities have been directed to verify accordingly. Moreover, the CM office has now warned people and directed them to “verify and confirm the authenticity of the telephone calls from the CM office before compliance of any sort”.
