The Establishment Division on Thursday transferred former Sindh Police chief Allah Dino Khawaja on Thursday and appointed him as the inspector general (IG) of National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP).
According to a notification issued on Thursday, AD Khawaja, who had been serving as the officer on special duty (OSD) has been transferred with immediate effect.
“Mr Allah Dino Khawaja, BS-21 officer of Police Service of Pakistan, presently posted as OSD in the Establishment Division, is transferred and posted as inspector general, National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP), under Ministry of Communications, in his own pay and scale, with immediate effect and until further orders,” the notification stated.
Earlier, on Thursday, during a hearing of the Amal Umer case, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar ordered the formation of a committee headed by Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and comprising AD Khawaja and a member of the district bar.
