Twitter abuzz after Afghanistan-India tie match in Asia Cup

India and Afghanistan Tuesday played the second last match of Super Four in 2018 Asia Cup which-unexpectedly- proved to be a thriller and match ended in a tie.

Cricket fans and cricketers praised the match and especially Afghanistan for giving tough time to the Indian team. Earlier, Afghans played a very close match with Pakistan.

After the match, Twitter is buzzing with the comments, praises, and admiration for cricket and Afghanistan team.

Praising Afghanistan team, cricket journalist Saj Sadiq wrote: “What a superb performance from Afghanistan in the Asia Cup. They could have won all 5 matches: Smashed Sri Lanka by 91 runs Thrashed Bangladesh by 136 runs Narrowly lost to Pakistan by 3 wickets (3 balls left) Lost to Bangladesh by 3 runs Tied with India .”

Former Indian player Akash Chopra wrote: “Afghanistan has a copyright on thrillers. And today we can actually say…Cricket is the real winner. Loved it. .”

Former Indian batsman VVS Lakshman wrote: “This must be a special day for  Securing a tie against Team India is a monumental achievement and every Afghanistan player can be very proud of their grit and fight. There is something special in this Afghanistan team, have been most impressivein Asia Cup
