The six-year-old-boy was recovered on Wednesday after having gone missing for a few hours on Tuesday night, which resulted in people coming out on streets to protest against the disappearance.

Earlier, the protestors blocked the roads and resorted to burning tires and stone pelting, causing suspension of traffic and closure of the food spots of the area, the police said.

Heavy contingents of police arrived in the area. The law enforcement authorities dispersed the crowd by Ariel firing. The protestors pelted stones at the police vehicle.

The elected MPA from the area, Khawaja Izharul Hasan, said that the police have completely failed to apprehend the kidnappers despite repeated incidents.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader appealed to the Sindh Rangers Director General and Karachi police chief Dr Ameer Shiekh to take notice of the rising kidnapping cases.
