LAHORE: Pakistani cricketers have asked for No Objection Certificates (NOC) to play in the Afghanistan Premier League (APL), starting from October 5.
According to media reports, Muhammad Irfan and Kamran Akmal contacted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to review their decision regarding the non-issuance of NOCs to Pakistani players.
Both players also asked PCB to clarify its stance on the issuance of NOC.
Earlier this week, the board barred its players from participating in the APL.
In an email sent by the PCB to Kamran Akmal, the PCB intimated that only players who have retired from all formats are allowed to participate in the tournament.
Allrounder Shahid Afridi, along with Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan, Faheem Ashraf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Sohail Tanvir, Kamran Akmal, and Mohammad Hafeez were picked in the APL draft earlier this month.
