FM Qureshi sort of glad he won’t have to hear Sushma Swaraj gloat about India’s Asia Cup wins

Reacting after Pakistan lost its second game against India in the ongoing Asia Cup, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said he is kind of glad that he will no longer have to hear Sushma Swaraj gloat about India’s Asia Cup wins against Pakistan.

“Don’t get me wrong, regional stability is very important and I’m all for talks, but God if India hadn’t cancelled, that would’ve been one embarrassing chat” he said.

“The time has really done me a disservice

I won’t be able to show my face in the cricket playing world” he told The Dependent.

“At first I had thought a simple reminder of the Champions Trophy final would’ve been an appropriate response, but honestly even I can’t use that argument after two humiliating losses in a row.”

“On a state level, and in my role as Foreign Minister, I am deeply opposed to the childish behaviour displayed by India” he thundered.

“But on a personal level, I can’t help but take a sigh of relief. Because honestly I was really sweating what I would say after yesterday’s game” he ended.

Update: Later in the day, FM Qureshi had expressed his desire to go on a visit to Hong Kong.
