Foreign Minister Qureshi leaves for US to attend UNGA

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday night left for the United Staes to attend 73rd session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Qureshi will lead the Pakistani delegation at the current General Assembly’s session which started on September 18.

Foreign Secretary Tehmeen Janjua is accompanying the foreign minister in the long-week visit to UN’s headquarter in New York.

Qureshi will present Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir issue among others at UNGA session.

Furthermore, he will meet his counterparts of different countries and hold talks with Trump administration. He will also address Pakistani community in Washington.

Earlier, it was reported that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not attend the UNGA session to focus his attention on the country’s economy.
