Govt determined to fulfill its promises: CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would fulfil its promises and was working hard to provide necessary relief to the people within the first 100 days.

Speaking to lawmakers as well as office bearers of the PTI from different districts, he said the times of hollow sloganeering were gone and people would witness the incumbent government’s practical steps for their welfare.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had set examples of simplicity and austerity in the government and reiterated that Punjab would come up to the expectations of the premier.

“I belong to a deprived area of Punjab and have full understanding of the everyday problems of the masses,” he said, adding that he felt the sufferings of the people.

The chief minister said that a comprehensive roadmap had been chalked out by the government for the solution of problems of the general public and asked the assembly members to keep a continuous liaison with the people to make every possible effort to solve their problems.

Among those who called on the chief minister were Yasir Humayun Sarfraz, Muhammad Tariq Tarrar, Fida Hussain Watto, Saeed Ahmad Saeedi, PTI leader Firdous Ashiq Awan and others.

CM PERFORMS GHUSAL CEREMONY AT HAZRAT ALI HAJVERI’S SHRINE:

Earlier, the ghusal ceremony of the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh was performed here on Thursday.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar performed the ceremony by washing the grave with rose water.

Provincial Minister Auqaf Pir Saeedul Hassan and Provincial Minister for Industries and Investment Mian Aslam Iqbal and other high officials were also present.

Special prayers for security and prosperity of the country were offered on this occasion.

The ceremony is performed every year on 9th of Muharruma, ahead of the sufi saint’s annual Urs ceremonies.
