ISLAMABAD: The scheduled meeting of opposition parties on Tuesday was cancelled due to “differences” between Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

The meeting had to take place to chalk out a plan regarding the formation of an investigation commission against alleged rigging in July 25 elections, discuss mini-budget and the recent surge in the ratio of inflation.

The meeting was set to be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday inside the Parliament.

According to the sources the meeting was canceled due to “ideological differences” between PPP and PML-N.

Earlier on Monday, the opposition members from PML-N had demonstrated a walk-out protest over the non-provision of time to speak in the National Assembly but the PPP members had not accompanied them.
