PMDC delegation stopped from visiting UK at public expense

A Pakistan Medical and Dental College (PMDC) delegation has been stopped by the National Health Services (NHS) Ministry from going abroad at public expense, reported by a local media outlet.

A letter written by the ministry in this regards reads, “It is understood that the University of Queen Mary London is providing funds for two members of the delegation and for the remaining two, PMDC is providing funds to visit UK.”

The letter has been addressed to PMDC President Mian Sakirullah Jan.

“In view of the austerity drive, it has been decided that no visit shall be undertaken at public expense,” it added.
