ATTOCK: At least 20 passengers were injured after a train derailed between Attock and Mianwali on Sunday, according to a Pakistan Railways spokesperson.
The Peshawar- bound Khushhal Express’ eight bogies derailed in incident.
Authorities suspended rail traffic between the Sohan Bridge and Makhad Road railway stations after the accident, with Pakistan Railways spokesperson adding that rescue efforts are currently underway.
A relief train and rescue truck from Kundian Junction reached the incident while a relief truck from Peshawar and a relief train from Rawalpindi are scheduled to arrive at the site of the incident soon.
The train had departed from Karachi on Saturday.
