LAHORE: As many as 900 Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees have been reinstated following stay orders.
The employees had been terminated after various accusations had surfaced.
The accusations include cases of fake degrees, fraud and absence.
As many as 388 employees had been sacked for allegedly possessing fake degrees while 94 employees had been sacked for reasons pertaining to fraud and forgery.
The National Industrial Relation Commission and various courts have ordered the stay orders.
The reinstated employees belong to various PIA departments including engineering, finance and flight service.
Former PIA chief operations officer (COO) Zia Qadir Qureshi has also reportedly tried to get a stay order after he was sacked last month.
It is pertinent to mention that the PIA reportedly has around 60 lawyers and yet the airline fails to evade stay orders against its decisions.
