Pakistan People’s Party leader Nafisa Shah on Friday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s decision of turning PM House into a postgraduate institution and said that it is not Prime Minister Imran Khan’s personal property.
In a tweet, the PPP leader said, “The PM House is not the personal property of Imran Khan. He should convert Bani Gala into a university.”
The prime minister house is the property of the state and belongs to the people of the country, therefore, it will be the official residence of the future prime ministers of Pakistan, she added.
“300-kanal property of Bani Gala is a very good location. Let’s start with Bani Gala Institute of Agroforestry there,” she said in another tweet.
The PPP leader’s reaction came after Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood’s announcement of converting the PM House into a postgraduate university.
