Table Tennis Player Mehek Anwer has said that she is yet to receive medical assistance for her cancer treatment which the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government promised, while requesting Prime Minister Imran Khan to fulfil his promise so she could recover soon.
In a video doing rounds on social media, the athlete stated that the government and Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of her condition on August 21 and promised complete medical assistance. “Some official from the government came to my home and just gave verbal support,” she said, adding that since then no one has come for her help.

Anwer further said that her parents have spent all their savings on her treatment. “I request PM Imran Khan to come and help me so that I can recover as soon as possible,” she said.
