ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah has said that it is a very sad incident that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif came from jail on parole to attend the funeral of his spouse Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

While talking to media men on Thursday, the PPP stalwart and former leader of the opposition in the National Assembly said that it is sad to know that former three-time PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was in jail when his spouse died in London Harley Street Hospital on Tuesday.

Talking about government new mini-budget, Khursheed said, he is hoping that government will give relief to the general public in its new mini-budget and burden of heavy taxes will not be shifted to people.

If 3 dams are constructed then country’s economic condition will become vibrant, he added. “The people will be able to get low-priced electricity and agricultural situation of the country will also get better.”

He said the total cost of dams is Rs 1600 billion and they could not be constructed with aid or help.

The PPP leader further added that if the government is serious for the construction of dams then it should keep the dam’s budget in the PSDP.
