AHMEDPUREAST: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has adjourned the hearing of the election petition of independent candidate Bahawal Abbas Khan Abbasi until September 19.
According to details, NA-174 Returning Officer (RO) Bilal Baig and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Makhdoom Syed SamiulHassan Gillani appeared before the commission in connection with the petition filed pertaining to alleged rigging during polls in the constituency.
The RO and Gillani told the two-member ECP tribunal that both of them had not been provided with the copies of the election petition.
The ECP directed the Abbasi’s counsel to provide the copies to Gillani and the RO so that they may submit their reply on September 19.
