ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that Member National Assembly (MNA) Aamir Liaquat Hussain will be indicted in contempt of court case.
The case against him was initiated after he violated previous undertakings that he would not use derogatory language or hate speech against any individual.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader from Karachi had submitted an apology before the country’s apex court.
The decision to reject the apology and indict the televangelist was taken by a three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.
Aamir Liaquat would be indicted on September 27.
