Girls outclass boys in Lahore Board 2018 intermediate exams

LAHORE: The girls from Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) outshone and outnumbered boys as they clinched all three overall top positions in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Examination (BISE) Lahore Annual intermediate (Part- I & II) examination 2018.

Interestingly, all the girls hail from the same college while all of them are pre-medical students. Two of the girls are also class fellows besides being the college fellows at the Punjab College for Women, 27 – C Noon Avenue Muslim Town Lahore.

Chairman BISE Lahore Prof Dr Muhammad Ismail announced the names of top position holders during a press conference at the Lahore Board office on Tuesday. Secretary Dr Rehana Ilyas and Controller of Examination Prof Muhammad Nasir Jamil were also present.

According to details, Kashaf Sanaullah D/O Sanaullah Roll No 515265, Sajal Tariq D/O Muhammad Tariq Mehmood Roll No 516202, and Kashaf Ali D/O Ali Saqlain Roll No 515244 of the Punjab College for Women, 27 – C Noon Avenue Muslim Town Lahore clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall positions by securing 1062, 1058 and 1053 marks respectively.

In the Pre-Medical (Among Boys) Group, Hussnain Mushtaq S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Ch Roll No 528765 of Government College University (GCU) Lahore secured the first position with 1045 marks, second Position was shared by Humza Ahmed S/O Tariq Masud Roll No 528896 of Government College University (GCU) Lahore and Hamid Arshad S/O Muhammad Arshad of Punjab College of Science 151 Ferozepur Road Lahore with 1044 marks each while the third position in this category was clinched by Muhammad Zain S/O Khadim Hussain Roll No 526779 of KIPS College for Boys, 75/302 Moza Bagrian Dharam Chand, Green Town, Lahore with 1042 marks.
