KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewage Board (KWSB) has recovered a dead dog from an underground water tank at Sakhi Hasan water hydrant on Saturday.
According to KWSB spokesman Rizwan Ahmed, the dog fell in the tank early morning, adding that the tank was now being emptied and it would be cleaned.
Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani also took notice of the incident and said he would launch an inquiry into the incident and those found responsible will be held accountable. In addition, he ordered necessary measures to prevent such incidents from occurring again.
KWSB Managing Director Khalid Sheikh said water supply shall resume once the tank is cleaned. He revealed that this was a major tank, through which water is supplied to major areas of district central. “We have no idea how the dog fell inside the tank.”
