VIDEO: Have a look at luxurious Punjab, PM House

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday released a video of the Punjab House, the official residence of Punjab chief minister. The video was shared by the party’s official Twitter handle as part of the “Prime Minister’s austerity drive”.

The narration stated, “Your provincial chief ministers adopt a lifestyle fit for Mughal emperors. How is it justifiable?”

“Tens of millions are spent each year on a lavish mansion such as Punjab House which is reserved for official tours,” it added.

“The most populous province is burdened with illiteracy, health and water crisis. On the other hand, the chief minister of this province spends taxpayers’ money on his personal comfort and luxuries.”

“Like the PM house, magnificent buildings such as Punjab House will now be utilized for the public benefit.”

Earlier, PTI had shared footage of the PM House in Islamabad. The video showed the lavish drawing rooms and meeting rooms at the PM’s residence.

“This is the Prime Minister House of a country where more than twenty-five million children are out of school. It is an emperor’s palace spread over 1,100 canals.”

The video shows the lavish bedrooms and interior of the PM house, as well as the parks.

“The prime minister of Pakistan will not live in this residential palace anymore. Buildings that symbolize the wealth and power of your rulers will now be transferred to the public domain”
