Three Dolphin men booked for street crime


LAHORE: Three “criminal cops” of the Dolphin Squad were arrested by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) team for looting citizens at gun point, bringing about embarrassment for police high-ups.

According to a report in the local media, Investigation DIG revealed that the Dolphin Squad personnel were involved in street crime and would loot citizens at gunpoint. Initial investigations have also showed that they have also shot at five citizens on resistance.

Dolphin Squad SP Nadeem Khokhar said out of them, two cops had already been suspended by the authorities for being willfully absent from duty. He asserted that there is zero tolerance towards corrupt and criminal cops in the force and action would be taken against those involved in unlawful activities.

The Dolphin Squad was established to battle increasing street crime in the city and to ensure the security of the citizens.


Meanwhile, the robberies have increased in the city as three separate incidents were reported on Wednesday.
