Rhea Kapoor wants to do ‘Khoobsurat’ sequel with Fawad Khan, Sonam Kapoor

Khoobsurat marked the debut of our blue-eyed boy Fawad Khan in Bollywood and though his career there was short-lived, Indians are still unable to get him out of their heads.

And now it appears that the producer of the film, Rhea Kapoor just might come up with a sequel!

Responding to a comment during a Q&A session with her fans and followers on Instagram, Rhea said she missed Fawad and Sonam together.

Sonam also shared her sister’s story indicating that she too shared the same sentiments.

Khoobsurat, released in 2014, was produced by Anil Kapoor and his daughter Rhea in collaboration with Walt Disney Studios. The film is a remake of the 1980 Rekha-starrer.

The film was received well worldwide and was released in 18 international territories, including North America, Britain and Pakistan. It collected over $2 million in global earnings initially.

After Khoobsurat, Fawad proceeded to appear in two more Bollywood productions namely Kapoor and Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. However, cross border tensions called for a ban on Pakistani artists working in India, cutting short his career.
