PM forms task force on civil service reforms

–Task forces on austerity, merger of FATA in KP also formed

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday approved the formation task forces on civil service reforms and austerity and restructuring of the government.

The task force on civil service reforms consists of Dr Ishrat Hussain, Advisor to Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity, Shahid Kardar, VC Beaconhouse National University, Dr Sania Nishtar, Suleiman Ghani, retired federal secretary,  former deputy chairman Planning Commission Dr Nadeem-ul-Haq, lawyer Salman Raja, Ali Cheema (LUMS), Umair Javed (LUMS), former federal secretary Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, Managing Director of Sindh Education Foundation Naheed Durrani, secretary cabinet or his nominee, secretary establishment or his nominee, secretary planning or his nominee, secretary finance or his nominee, chief secretary/additional chief secretary Punjab, chief secretary/additional chief secretary Sindh. chief secretary/additional chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, chief secretary/additional chief secretary Balochistan, and secretary of the task force – to be appointed by the secretary establishment.

The task force on austerity and restructuring of the government consists of Dr Ishrat Hussain, Advisor to Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity, former finance secretary Salman Siddiq, former finance secretary Wajid Rana, Country Director IGC Ijaz Nabi, Roshaneh Zafar Managing Director Kashf Foundation, former federal secretary Tariq Khosa, GM Punjab IT Board Burhan Rasool, former chairman FBR Abdullah Yousaf, member Federal Board of Revenue Rana Ahmad, former Managing Partner Ernst & Young Asad Ali Shah, former foreign secretary Taslim Aslam , secretary finance or his nominee,  secretary establishment or his nominee,  chief secretary/additional chief secretary Punjab,  chief secretary/additional chief secretary Sindh, chief secretary/additional chief secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, chief secretary/additional chief secretary Balochistan, and secretary of the task force — to be appointed by the secretary establishment.

TASK FORCE FORMED FOR FATA MERGER WITH KP:

The premier also approved the formation of a task force for identification of impediments & facilitation of merger of erstwhile FATA and PATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The composition of the Task Force shall be as follows:

  • Advisor to the Prime Minister on Establishment (Convener)
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister
  • Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs
  • Senator Hidayatullah Khan
  • Federal Secretary SAFRON (Secretary)
  • Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
  • Additional Chief Secretary FATA
  • Representative of MO Directorate, GHQ
  • Representative of 11 Corps, Peshawar
  • Habibullah Khan
