Cricketers pay tribute to 1965 war martyrs

Pakistan on Thursday is celebrating it’s 52nd Defence Day on the occasion of Pakistan defence against India on September 6, 1965 war.

Along with other Pakistanis, national cricketers also paid tribute to the martyrs of the war. “Right handed-batsman Muhammad Hafeez paid the tribute writing: “Salute to MARTYRS of the Nation, PAKISTAN ZINDABAD.”

Left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz paid his tribute in words, ““There is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan” This we salute the Ghazis and the brave soldiers who fought till the last breath to keep our flag high! “.

Sharing the picture of Pakistan military’s martyrs who received  ‘Nishan-e-Haider’, fast bowler Hassan Ali wrote: “

Wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal wrote: “Salute & Tribute to all the brave hearted Soldiers martyrs & their families Who have sacrificed their lives for us so we can live our life with peace

Former offspinner Saqlain Mushtaq paid his tribute writing, “6th September, Defence Day is a day to remember all those beautiful souls that have made sacrifices for us. May the Almighty elevate them and give them the best return”.
