Student ‘commits suicide’ over poor grades

A student of Edwardes College, Peshawar was found dead inside his hostel room in Peshawar, a local news outlet reported on Wednesday.

The body of the youth, identified as Zeeshan, was found by the authorities in the early hours.

According to Zeeshan’s family, he attained low grades in his first-year exams and that he had been upset ever since. Initial reports suggest Zeeshan took his own life.

The deceased was a resident of Parachinar and had been living in a private hostel. Authorities completed medico-legal requirements and handed-over the body to the bereaved family.

Back on July 16, a 30-year-old doctor was found dead in his hostel room under mysterious circumstances in Peshawar. Ehsanullah, a native of Tank district served as a trainee doctor at the Lady Reading Hospital’s ophthalmology department.

Initial reports suggest that the doctor died of a cardiac arrest. The body was shifted to Khyber Medical College.
