—Rajanpur DC accuses PTI MNA Nasrullah Dreshak of influencing postings and transfers of revenue officials
—Chakwal DC has already complained against PTI MNA Sardar Zulfikar for pressurising him to change dozens of officials in district
ISLAMABAD: Just a day after the Chakwal deputy commissioner (DC) alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan was pressurising him to change dozens of revenue officials, including patwaris and girdawars, another case of similar nature has emerged in South Punjab where Rajanpur DC Allah Ditta Warraich has accused PTI MNA Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshak of political interference in his matters.
In a letter written to the Dera Ghazi Khan commissioner, chief election commissioner and Punjab chief secretary, the deputy commissioner has alleged that Dreshak asked him to make transfers of patwaris and Border Military Police (BMP) officials according to the MNA’s whims and caprices.
He requested that the matter should be referred to the competent authority to initiate proceedings against the MNA as per law on the charges of political interference in the smooth working of the office of the deputy commissioner and humiliating a government servant for not according him undue and unlawful protocol.
He alleged that after winning the election, Nasrullah Dreshak and his son MPA Sardar Hasnain Bahadur, and ex-MPA Sardar Ali Raza Dreshak have been pressurising him for transfer/posting of various revenue patwaris and officials of BMP.
He alleged that Sardar Nasrullah asked him to “transfer In-charge Daffadar BMP Post Mari Firdaus Gurchani at any cost as he had been supporting his political rival Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani, ex-deputy speaker of Punjab Assembly.”
He further complained that Dreshak said to him that “he has been asking to give good posting to BMP Jamadar Shahid Hassan Gorchani but you did not do so and now he had died.”
Warraich further said that the MNA directed him not to order any transfer/posting without his consent in his constituency. The deputy commissioner quoted Dreshak as saying that he had been in opposition for the last 10 years and now he had won the election and will ensure good postings to all his favourite BMP officials and revenue employees.
The deputy commissioner also complained that Dreshak did not shake his hand because he [the DC] did not come outside of his room to receive the MNA. “As you did not do so, therefore, I did not like to shake hands with you,” said the MNA, according to Warraich.
