QUETTA: Quetta Police have launched a “politeness week” beginning from Tuesday.

This initiative is part of the local government’s efforts to improve relations between police officers and citizens.

Special classes and lectures have been arranged for police officials during the week.

In honour of the ‘politeness week’, the traffic police, which is also a part of this initiative, will not issue any challans to citizens during the next few days.

Banners have been placed around the city and informational pamphlets were distributed to citizens by traffic wardens.

The citizens have shown appreciation for the initiative and hope that such ventures continue throughout the year to bridge the gap between citizens and law enforcement agencies.

The celebrations will end on September 9.
