KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has arrested accused Allah Dino Bhayo for bungling related to Shikarpur uplift schemes.
On the basis of an STR forwarded by Financial Monitoring Unit (FMU), an inquiry was authorised by a competent authority against Allah Dino Bhayo and others.
The STR was generated on the basis of unusual transactions in the account of accused persons by different contractors of Shikarpur.
The accused person in connivance with contractors and representatives of the Works & Services Department deposited huge amount in his account.
The accused caused loss of Rs55 million to the national exchequer. The accused also failed to provide any lawful justification of the amount deposited in his account.
The accused was produced before Accountability Court in Karachi for physical remand.
The Accountability Court granted his 13 days remand.
