A major reshuffle took place at the federal level as 22 bureaucrats were transferred to various positions.
A notification available with Pakistan Today states that BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) Fazal Abbas Maken has been posted as Cabinet Division secretary. He was previously posted as National Food Security and Research Division secretary.
Similarly, Khalid Masood Chaudhry has been transferred to Industry and Production Division secretary from Religious Affairs.
Furthermore, Shoaib Ahmed Siddique has been appointed as communication secretary, Muhammad Arshaf as Parliamentary Affair’s Division secretary, Jamil Ahmed as Interprovincial Coordination Division secretary, Rabiya Javeri Agha as Climate Change Division secretary, Pir Bakhsh Khan Jamali as Postal Division secretary, Aamir Arshaf Khawaja as Maritime Affairs Division Secretary, Mumtaz Ali Shah as Religious Affairs Division secretary, Capt (r) Jahanzeb Khan as Printing Corporation of Pakistan managing director, Zafar Hassan as Planning, Development and Reform Division secretary incharge, Muhammad Asif
as Overseas Pakistanis additional secretary incharge, Syed Tahira Habib as Federal Tax Ombudsmen secretary, Azhar Ali Chaudary as Textile Division secretary and Dr Muhammad Hashim Popalzia has been appointed as the
National Food Science secretary.
In addition to this, Communication Division Secretary Furqan Bahadur Khan, Climate Change Secretary Khizar Hayat Khan, Textile Division Secretary Shahrukh Arbab, Industry Secretary Maroof Afzal, Parliamentary Affairs Secretary Incharge Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi, Printing Corporation of Pakistan MD Chaudary Mubarik Ali, Postal Service Division Secretary Hamid Haroon have been directed to report to Establishment Division with immediate effect and until further orders.
It is pertinent to mention here that the federal cabinet in its meeting held on Tuesday gave the approval to transfer these officials.
