–PTI social media team denies claims that CM’s protocol caused minor girl’s death

MIAN CHANNU: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday directed the authorities concerned to investigate the death of an infant at Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Mian Channu.

Mother of the one-year-old Thalassemia patient had earlier alleged that her daughter expired because doctors left her to attend to the chief minister during his visit to the hospital.

Reacting to the claims, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media team shared a video that showed Buzdar speaking to a patient and the woman sitting in the background while her daughter was being administered a drip.

The mother had also claimed that protocol officers of the provincial chief minister had denied her entry to the hospital. However, the doctors too rejected the impression that the girl died due to their negligence.

They said the staff performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the girl but to no avail.
