PTI to empower NAB, FBR: presidential nominee Arif Alvi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for the office of president Arif Alvi has said that his party will ensure good governance in the country besides working to bring reforms in NAB and FBR.

He said this in a statement issued here Monday.

He held that PTI will focus on running all national institutions under a system in accordance with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision so that they could function independently and in an effective manner.

He reiterated his commitment to making Karachi green.

Regarding Pakistan-India ties, he said Pakistan is desirous for the resolution of Kashmir issue as per the United Nations (UN) resolutions.

He underlined that the name of those who have plundered national wealth should be placed on ECL.

ALVI, QASIM SURI REFUSE TO TAKE PROTOCOL:

Arif Alvi and National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri have refused to take protocol in a bid to end the VIP culture.

According to details, Alvi and Suri refused to take protocol at Islamabad airport while they were travelling to Karachi from Islamabad. They boarded the plane on their turn in the line.

On this occasion, Alvi said that PTI wants to bring such change, adding “no one will get protocol and PTI will struggle against VIP culture.”
