Development of deprived areas top priority of Punjab govt: CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar on Sunday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision is progress and prosperity of common man.

Talking to a delegation of elected members of provincial assembly belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Lahore, Buzdar said, “teamwork is essential in achieving PM Imran’s goal.”

The chief minister said that the party’s priority is to develop deprived areas and provide basic facilities to the entire province.

He said that austerity and simplicity are being promoted and people will notice changes as practical steps are being taken by the government over the issue.

Meanwhile, the new provincial CM has taken notice of reports in the media about the death of an eight-year-old girl in DHQ Pakpattan after failing to receive timely medical treatment.

The chief minister has directed the deputy commissioner of Pakpattan to investigate the incident and submit a report within 24 hours.

He also expressed sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family.

CM SATISFIED WITH CLEANLINESS DURING EID:

CM Buzdar also expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness arrangements across the Punjab during Eidul Azha.

According to a spokesman for the Chief Minister House, he praised the concerning departments for excellent cleanliness arrangements in Lahore and other areas of the province.

He also praised the performance of solid waste management companies and the administration, and said that they should continue to work with the same spirit in future as well.
